Design Something People Show Up For

Design Something People Show Up For

Live events still matter. They bring people together around a cause, celebration, season, or shared experience in a way digital channels cannot replace.

YellowBug helps organizations shape public-facing events, fundraising experiences, seasonal displays, installations, and activations that raise awareness, support sponsorship, and give communities a reason to gather.

Real Experiences Still Matter

Real Experiences Still Matter

Digital marketing can reach people, but live experiences can bring them together.

A strong event does more than fill a calendar. It gives people a reason to show up, participate, support the work, and remember the organization behind it. That kind of experience takes more than a good idea. It needs a clear concept, thoughtful promotion, useful materials, and a plan people can actually execute.

YellowBug helps businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations make events more intentional, more visible, and more useful.

1. Tell Us What You're Building

A fundraiser, lighting experience, public installation, company event, sponsor opportunity, seasonal display, or community activation. Tell us what you are trying to create and what the event needs to accomplish.

2. We Shape the Experience

We help identify the concept, audience, message, visual direction, activation layout, sponsorship opportunities, marketing needs, and guest-facing materials that will make the event stronger.

3. We Bring It to Life

For larger events, the host organization usually carries much of the on-the-ground work. We help build the plan, materials, and structure that make that work more focused. For smaller activations, we may be able to handle more of the execution directly.

Fundraising Events Need More Than Attendance

A good fundraising event gives people a reason to care, a way to participate, and a clear understanding of what their support makes possible.

Sponsors Need Real Value

Sponsor logos alone are not enough. We help think through visibility, recognition, benefits, and materials that make sponsorship easier to sell and easier to understand.

The Experience Should Match the Goal

Lighting, signage, displays, print materials, social content, and on-site details should all support the same message. That consistency helps people understand and remember the event.

The Work Has to Be Usable

The best ideas still need to function with real staff, real volunteers, real timelines, and real budgets. We help shape creative concepts into plans people can actually use.

Big Ideas Still Need a Working Plan

Big Ideas Still Need a Working Plan

A lighting experience, sponsor-driven fundraiser, museum installation, company event, seasonal display, and community activation all need different levels of planning, design, marketing, and execution support.

Before the materials are designed, the sponsors are pitched, or the displays are built, the experience needs a clear purpose and a working plan.

We start by understanding what the event needs to accomplish, who needs to be involved, what resources already exist, and where YellowBug can make the biggest difference. From there, we scope the work around the pieces that need creative planning, activation layout, marketing, sponsorship support, signage, guest experience, or design.

For larger events, your team should expect to stay involved in the actual implementation. We help create the structure, materials, and direction that make the event stronger. We are not replacing your staff, board, volunteers, vendors, or operations crew.

Common Questions

Common Questions

Events can feel overwhelming because they involve people, promotion, logistics, sponsors, budgets, and a hard deadline. These answers explain how we help and what to expect.

Do you plan full events from start to finish?

We start with a discovery conversation to understand your goals, audience, and content needs. From there we move through design, development, review, and launch. Most projects take 6 to 10 weeks depending on scope and how quickly content comes together.

Can you help with fundraising events?

Yes. Fundraising events are one of the areas where our work can be most useful. We can help shape the concept, clarify the message, develop sponsor materials, create campaign assets, plan recognition, and make the event easier for donors, sponsors, and guests to understand.

Do you only work on holiday lighting events?

No. Lighting is a strong fit for us, but this work is not limited to Christmas. We can help with seasonal experiences, Halloween concepts, themed displays, civic events, museum or library installations, sponsor activations, fundraising campaigns, and other public-facing experiences.

Can you help us get sponsors?

We can help create the materials, benefit structure, messaging, and recognition plan that make sponsorship easier to sell. We do not guarantee sponsorship revenue, and your organization will usually need to own the relationship-building and outreach.

Can you design event signage and materials?

Yes. We can design event signage, sponsor recognition, maps, banners, directional signs, one-pagers, invitations, social graphics, email assets, and other materials that support the event.

Can you help with a library, museum, or small installation?

Yes. We can help shape the visual direction, activation layout, guest flow, signage, interpretive graphics, donor recognition, photo opportunities, and marketing materials for smaller public-facing installations or exhibits.

Do you build the displays or install everything?

It depends on the scope. For some smaller activations, we may be able to handle more of the execution. For larger events, lighting displays, or installations, we usually help with planning, design, materials, and coordination while the host organization, volunteers, vendors, or installation partners handle much of the physical work.

How early should we bring you in?

As early as possible. Events get harder to improve once the date, venue, sponsor structure, theme, and promotional plan are already locked. Early involvement lets us help shape the experience before all the decisions are made.

What does event and activation support cost?

Events and activations are scoped individually because the needs vary widely. Cost depends on the size of the event, planning needs, design needs, sponsor materials, signage, marketing, timeline, and level of execution support required.
